My Go-To Watermelon Jalapeno Margarita Recipe
This recipe can be blended (my preferred method) or over ice! Either way makes for a delicious margarita! Here’s how I create this amazing drink:
Ingredients
- 3 oz watermelon juice
- 1-2oz tequila
- 1 oz triple sec
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 1 oz or more Jalapeno Simple Syrup
- fresh jalapeno slices
For the Jalapeno Simple Syrup:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1-2 jalapeno (remove seeds and ribs for less spice)
How to Make the Jalapeno Simple Syrup
Add sugar, water, and jalapeños to a small saucepan. Bring mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally until sugar dissolves. Let cool. Strain the seeds and jalapeños from the syrup. (I saved the jalapeños to add to my margarita. They were delicious! 😋)
Directions
Add watermelon juice, tequila, lime juice, and jalapeno simple syrup to a blender with a cup of ice and blend. Garnish with watermelon and sliced jalapeño. If you prefer on the rocks, just skip the blender and pour it into an ice-filled glass, and stir. Don’t forget to run a lime along your glass rim and lightly dip it on a plate of course salt. Not necessary, but oh so good! Enjoy this watermelon jalapeno margarita!
