I absolutely love adding greenery to my home! It adds dimension and brightens every space! If I ever find an area in my home that looks incomplete, I try to add a plant or tree to bring it to life! We have been incorporating faux greenery into our home lately, and I thought it would be nice to give you a run-down of the best pieces that I have come across.
Pros of Faux Greenery
What are the benefits? There are quite a few:
- There is much less upkeep and maintenance with faux greenery. Once you’ve placed it where you want it, you’re done! There is no watering, there is no moving it to a different window when you realize it isn’t in a great spot in the house, and there’s no dirt. (No need for a green thumb, here!)
- It’s much more cost-effective. Real fiddle leaf figs can range anywhere from $50 to $250 (and if it dies, it dies). This 60-inch fiddle leaf fig from World Market is only $150 and will last for years!
- They are easy to transport. If you’ve ever tried to transport plants from one home to another, you know how big of a task it can be. With faux greenery, you simply wrap it up, place it in a box, and move it to the next location.
- They won’t attract pests. Real greenery tends to attract small pests.
- They’re safer. Some plants (even the leaves) can be toxic to children and pets, so opting for faux greenery can actually be a wise decision for the safety of your home!
Ask yourself a few questions to determine if this is the right choice for you. Questions like, “Do I have room for plants to grow?”, or “Do I have the time to take care of a real plant?” If the answer to both of these questions is “no”, then these next few pieces of faux greenery are going to be amazing pieces to add to your home decor.
With any outdoor space, it’s nice to incorporate greenery and florals. It gives the area color and texture. There are so many beautiful faux greenery options specifically made for an outdoor space. So if you don’t quite have a green thumb, don’t worry. You still have plenty of options that I linked below. Look HERE to see how I use greenery in my outdoor space.

Tips and Tricks
When choosing your pieces, make sure to observe the texture and style. Faux greenery has evolved over the years, and it can look classy and elevated when used correctly. Faux plant retailers have improved the material used for these pieces to give different textures, feels, and dimensions. The choices I’ve shared above are great for a modern, neutral home!
